The Kaveri Association of Rehabilitation Medicine (KARM) is the Karnataka Chapter of IAPMR. The Indian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (IAPMR) is an apex body of medical doctors having a specialisation in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR). KARM is constituted by members from across the state of Karnataka who specialise in the field of PMR. KARM was registered as a society in 2021. The association aims to enhance and disseminate knowledge in the field of PMR, by conducting Workshops and/or CME/conference. In addition, the association  is involved in policy making for differently abled, in association with the national chapter.

Since its inception, the association has conducted annual academic programs which have been embraced with zeal by participants. The strength of the association as assessed by numbers is small, however, this has not prevented it from conducting major scientific events. The mid-term annual conference of IAPMR was organised by KARM in 2021. Now, the organising committee of KARM has been given the responsibility of conducting the annual conference of IAPMR. The members of KARM have embraced this responsibility as an honour and plan to bring out the best in this scientific event. The Dept. of Neurological Rehabilitation, NIMHANS, Bengaluru will be organising the 53rd Annual IAPMR Conference under the aegis of KARM.
