It has been an honor for me to serve as the Founder Hon’ Secretary of Kaveri Association of Rehabilitation Medicine (KARM) – Karnataka Chapter of IAPMR and it has been a double delight to have donned the hat of the Joint Organizing Secretary for the 53 rd Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (IAPMR). I begin by whole heartedly thanking IAPMR for entrusting this enormous responsibility to the Department of Neurological Rehabilitation, NIMHANS under the aegis of Kaveri Association of Rehabilitation Medicine (KARM). KARM is still an upcoming association at a mere 3 years old and this opportunity could not have come for it at a better time.
The organizing committee is dedicated to providing you with the most sought after and clinically relevant topics through a series of lectures and workshops that will enrich the knowledge of the participants both academically and practically. As an avid traveler myself, I cannot stress enough upon the perfect blend of both history & the serene beauty of Bengaluru, reflected amply in a splattering of heritage buildings, parks and gardens throughout the city. Its multicultural diaspora with people from all parts of the country reveling in its tech culture along with a pleasant atmosphere is a testament to Bengaluru’s welcoming nature. Encompassing the same vibes as that of this vibrant city, we aim to provide our guests with the best of hospitality, culture, and cuisine.
I request all the members and post graduate students to participate in large numbers to make this conference a grand success and allow us to engage you with knowledge from stalwarts in the field admixed with the old-world charm and exquisiteness of Bengaluru city.
